THE NEXT PRESIDENT

It's almost a month since the historical election happened using the PCOS (no, not Polycystic ovary syndrome but Presinct Count Optical Scanner) machines, and damn, those ballots were big, I was even tempted to put ink spills on it just so I could take one home. Anyway back to what really matters, right now senator Benigno Simeon "Noynoy" Cojuangco Aquino III is leading, and I think it's safe to say he'd be our next president... Boo!

The people have voted for whom they have chosen - pity those who didn't for the wrong reasons. The outcome is becoming clearer and clearer, with senator Aquino leading the race for presidency, voted by the people whom have their own reasons, some - among others - believe he is fit to be our next president, or because they love and respect his parents, although I find the latter to be a lame reason. Ninoy is Ninoy, Cory is Cory and Noynoy is Noynoy, you can't expect them to be a hundred percent the same.

Aside from Kris, his receding hairline - well fine, it's not counted - , smoking habits (ever heard of second hand smoke. all you inconsiderate smokers) and the news about Hacienda Luisita there is really nothing I could say about the senator, he's just not my bet.

I hope we could have the results soon, so we could go on we our lives, hearing news about corruption complaints and yearly filing for impeachment trials. It's like a trend already that begun from former president Joseph Ejercito Estrada, which is, by the way, on second position in the race for the next president. Wow, if first world countries take ex-convicts and turn them into artist, we on the other hand take it to the next level, we take ex-convicts and allow them to run for president, amazing.

Election - we go by whatever gets the most votes, and sadly most of us would rather believe on campaign ads (You don't take the Devil at his own word) than to listen to debates or study their platforms.

But still, this is for hoping that our next leaders would at least respect all those who have voted for them, cheers and enjoy ! ! !
